FAQ

  • What are pressed flowers and how long do they last?

Pressed flowers are preserved flat as paper by using heavy weight to flatten the bloom while they dry. Since pressing flowers is a way of preserving them, they will technically last forever. The colors will fade out slowly over the years if the frame is exposed to direct sunlight and harsh temperatures.

  • Is the deposit fee included in the total price of the preservation?

Yes. The deposit fee is for us to know that you are serious about getting your flowers preserved and to solidify your booking. It will be included in the total cost which will be determined based on your design preferences discussed in our consultation.

  • How far in advance should I book my preservation?

The sooner the better! We book up fast once wedding season starts and can only take a certain number of orders per month. We take orders up to 1 year in advance.

  • Can I ship my bouquet to you in the mail?

Yes. We accept fresh bouquets from all over the US. If you want to send them to us, we will send you detailed shipping instructions and recommend that you are prepared to send them the day after your event. Other than that, it is easy!

  • Can you preserve my flowers if my wedding was a few days ago? (Within 6-9 days))

Absolutely! We consider these last-minute orders and we try to take as many as we can so no couple has to throw away their flowers. We have a different process for orders like this, so to reserve your spot asap please purchase the deposit fee from our shop and we will reach out as soon as possible.

  • How soon after the wedding do you need the flowers?

We like to receive the flowers 1-3 days after the wedding to ensure the blooms are still fresh going in to the press and to prevent any mold from starting.

  • How long does it take for the frame to be finished?

Turnaround time for custom preservations is 2-3 months. It mostly depends on how fast the flowers dry and how busy we are. We are a one-woman show so we appreciate your patience!

  • Can you preserve a bouquet that is already dry and multiple months/years old?

Yes! These bouquets can be arranged in a shadow box at a 15% discount. Because of this custom price, please purchase the deposit fee to schedule a consultation with us.

  • How do I care for my flowers until they are shipped/dropped off?

Please keep your flowers in clean water and in a cool place until they are ready to be shipped or dropped off. Keeping them in a refrigerator is ideal.

  • What is color correction and do I need it for my order?

Color correction is an extra service we provide where we tint your pressed flowers to bring them back to their original color when they were fresh. Pressed flowers tend to change color after coming out of the press, so color correcting is something we can do to combat that result. We recommend this service if you are not okay with your flowers changing color over the years and if you are not okay with your greenery turning brown eventually.

  • How do I care for my finished frame?

Please care for your frame by keeping it out of direct sunlight and hot temperatures. This will cause the flowers to fade even more quickly.

  • Do you use UV protective acrylic/glass in your frame?

Yes. Every frame is UV protected to ensure your flowers are not being damaged by sunlight. This prevents the flowers from fading if they are exposed to direct sunlight and helps them keep their color.
