  • Shipping Risk: Shipping frames involves certain risks. If a frame is damaged during transit, we will provide a refund that covers the cost of replacement parts and the client’s time to repair the damages.

  • Bouquet Labeling: It is your responsibility to label your bouquet with your name and prior to shipping.

  • Bouquet Condition Upon Arrival: Upon arrival, some flowers in your bouquet may not be suitable for preservation due to damage during shipping or age of the bloom. We will send a photo of your bouquet upon receipt to go over any unusable blooms.

Timeline and Communication

  • Timeline: The floral preservation process typically takes 2-3 months to complete. Shipping and handling require an additional 5-7 days.

  • Communication and Timely Responses: All communication regarding the design of your piece, including feedback and revisions, will be conducted solely through email. To ensure the smooth operation of our business and the best service to all our clients, we kindly request that you respond promptly to any design approvals or revision requests. If we do not receive a response within 30 days, we will proceed with framing your design and move forward with the process.

  • Email Communication: The Black Botanical Press team will communicate with you via the email address provided on your order. If your email address is incorrect or needs to be updated, it is your responsibility to notify us.

Design Process

  • Design Approval: You will receive a final design proof for approval before the frame is sealed. Once the frame is sealed, no further changes can be made.

  • Design Revisions: You are entitled to two design revisions. Beyond this, any additional revisions may extend the timeline for completion of your frame and include a $25 fee per additional request.

  • Design Adjustments: If your requested design cannot be achieved with the flowers provided, our specialists will work to create a design that best suits the materials available.

  • Timely Approval: Once we send you the initial design proof for approval, you must respond within 30 days. If we do not receive a response within this timeframe, we will proceed with framing your design and move forward with the process.

  • Final Adjustments: During the gluing and sealing process, slight shifts in flower placement may occur. Our specialists take great care to maintain the integrity of your approved design, but small adjustments may naturally happen as part of the final assembly.

Flower Preservation

  • Flower Usage: Due to the condition of certain flowers or the size of the frame, not all flowers from your bouquet will be used in the final design.

  • Flower Imperfections: While we use expert techniques to minimize imperfections such as crease marks on petals, browning, and crinkling some outcomes are out of our control. We work hard to minimize these issues when possible, but flowers have a natural and imperfect way about them.

  • Flower Color Change: The original color of some flowers naturally change as they dry. For example, red roses turn a dark maroon color and orange ranunculus tend to come out a pale yellow. There is no way to control this process besides color correcting after they have been pressed. In addition to the colors changing, they are also subject to fading over the years.

Color Correction

  • Color correction is an artistic service we offer to help match the colors of your preserved flowers as closely as possible to their original appearance. This process is designed to reduce natural discoloration that can occur during the preservation process. However, please note that color correction will never be an exact match to the original bouquet. This is an add-on service that is subject to additional fees.

  • Color Correction: Color correction can be added on to any order for an additional charge.

Additional Terms

  • Replacement Flowers: If replacements are required for your bouquet, and you wish to use replacement flowers, additional fees may apply.

  • Lost or Damaged Bouquets: If your bouquet is lost, damaged, or unusable, you will receive a 50% refund or the option to use replacement flowers.

  • Handcrafted Nature: All frames are handcrafted and unique. Minor imperfections are natural and contribute to the individuality of each piece.

  • Leftover Flowers: We do not typically send back leftover pressed and color-corrected flowers unless specifically requested. Please let us know if you wish to have the extras as soon as possible.

  • Address Changes: If you need to change the shipping address, it is your responsibility to inform us promptly.
